A caregiver is someone who provides support to a family member, friend, or neighbour of any age who is living with a critical illness, injury, disability or someone requiring end-of-life care. Caregivers help with things like driving to appointments, preparing meals, cleaning, managing money, assisting with medical needs, offering emotional support, and giving personal care such as bathing, feeding, and toileting. Most of this care happens at home or in the community, forming a vital but often invisible network of support.
